Custom Pieces
The process of having a custom piece woven for you is a simple, enjoyable, delightful kind of collaboration and the result is an heirloom quality, one-of-a-kind item.
Here's the process. It's really quite straightforward.
First, reach out to me at sam@thesamanthawilde.com and let me know you would like to have a bespoke weaving just for you. From there, we will go back and forth by email so that I know what colors, styles and textures you would like.
At that time, 50% of the total cost of the piece is due. You can see from my Weaving Shop examples of the various ranges. I will let you know the total cost of your piece ahead of time; it will not be a suprise! 50% is due in advance and the reminder when your piece is finished.
It can take as little as a week to complete your piece, depending what else I have in the queue. Sometimes, it may take several weeks, but I promise you it is worth the wait!
I always send, either via email or text, pictures of the project as it moves along--pictures of the warp going on and the weaving starting and so forth. It is my professional goal that you be absolutely in love with your custom weaving.
When the piece is done, you will pay the reminder of the 50% and the cost of shipping. Shipping costs vary but generally range from $7-15. The amount will depend on your location. I will ship to Hawaii, Alaska and overseas only by special agreement. If you are local, you may pick up the piece in my Hadley studio.
I will also share with you images of your piece once it is complete. Custom pieces are so special; they are made to love.
If your piece includes memory fabric or clothing that I will weave in and you are not local, you will ship me those fabrics at the beginning of the process. That shipping cost is not covered in the cost of the weaving.
