An ode to a life lived artfully. For the person who is both colorful and elegant here is an absolute invitation to come and live your life as art, to express your authenticate self, to be both playful and beautiful, unique and original. I was very inspired by some fellow fiber artists in making this piece and allowing it to be bold, unique, playful and texturally delightful. I spun (plyed) a number of different yarns together to make a the yarn for the weft. You’ll see two silver threads coming amidst the black ones in the warp, a reminder to follow those sparkles in our lives, wherever they may lead.

When I first saw these wonderful creations, I immediately thought of them as perfect Christmas gifts for my two nieces who loved their Gramma Kay. Thank you for custom designing for them. They each sit in a prominent place in their homes.

Sam created a wedding shower gift of dreams! She wove family history into a gorgeous useful and lush shawl for the bride, who brought it all the way to Europe and included it in her wedding celebrations. Sam was thoughtful and responsive as an artist and weaver, asking questions and offering options at each step of the process. I swear to goodness there is love woven directly into the artwork. I already have a new request for her.
