There are times in our lives when we are reaching, truly reaching, for something higher. A higher peace, a higher understanding, a higher way of living. We sometimes think it will have to come from outside of us, but this new way forward comes from the “new voice.” Our voice. From one of her most powerful, beloved poems, “the stars began to burn/through the sheets of clouds,/and there was a new voice/which you slowly recognized as your own.” (From The Journey.)
