Here is a magical tapestry if there ever was one! Originally woven as an ocean piece, for many moons it did not have mermaids on it. Until one day, while looking at the tapestry, I saw the mermaids, got out my felting needle and brought them into being!
Of course, I’ve never seen a mermaid and likely neither have you, and yet their presence continues on through generations. My five year old daughter certainly believes in them. There are so many stories and myths about mermaids. Creating this tapestry was amazing because I did not expect them. It is just this kind of unexpected magic that they want to bring into your life and home. That is their special message—of unexpected good coming your way. A lovely invitation to believe is in here, too!

I can’t take my eyes off this beautiful piece of art!
Sam created a wedding shower gift of dreams! She wove family history into a gorgeous useful and lush shawl for the bride, who brought it all the way to Europe and included it in her wedding celebrations. Sam was thoughtful and responsive as an artist and weaver, asking questions and offering options at each step of the process. I swear to goodness there is love woven directly into the artwork. I already have a new request for her.
I took this class last winter and I look forward to taking it again this fall! Its an intentional meditation practice (both the meditation AND the weaving) but you learn a craft too! And create a beautiful object that is meaningful! While I had done various arts and crafts as a child- I was new to weaving. I was surprised how quickly the skills came with Sam’s guidance. Can’t wait to take it again! Hope to see you there.

Sam and goat yoga is amazing! Sam’s class has allowed me to become grounded in myself, connect with earth and living beings all at once. After being in a state of high anxiety constantly, this class is has been a blessing. I highly recommend this class to anyone seeking the same peace.
