This joyful, colorful tapestry incorporates mixed fiber and cloth in an impression of the sunrise. Inspired by a sunrise over Cape Cod, it captures the teals of the ocean and the purples of sunrise.
Woven intuitively and spontaneously on a simple lap loom, the piece expresses the inspiration of Psalm 30 and the truth that however long the night may be, and that is sometimes very, very long, a new day does always dawn.

When I first saw these wonderful creations, I immediately thought of them as perfect Christmas gifts for my two nieces who loved their Gramma Kay. Thank you for custom designing for them. They each sit in a prominent place in their homes.

Sam created a wedding shower gift of dreams! She wove family history into a gorgeous useful and lush shawl for the bride, who brought it all the way to Europe and included it in her wedding celebrations. Sam was thoughtful and responsive as an artist and weaver, asking questions and offering options at each step of the process. I swear to goodness there is love woven directly into the artwork. I already have a new request for her.
