We sometimes think it will have to come from outside of us, but this new way forward comes from the “new voice.” Our voice. From one of her most powerful, beloved poems, “the stars began to burn/through the sheets of clouds,/and there was a new voice/which you slowly recognized as your own.” (From The Journey.) These words are also written on the back of the tapestry. It is such a powerful—and necessary reminder–and through the tapestry a way to bring those words alive in our own life.

I can’t take my eyes off this beautiful piece of art!
Sam created a wedding shower gift of dreams! She wove family history into a gorgeous useful and lush shawl for the bride, who brought it all the way to Europe and included it in her wedding celebrations. Sam was thoughtful and responsive as an artist and weaver, asking questions and offering options at each step of the process. I swear to goodness there is love woven directly into the artwork. I already have a new request for her.
I took this class last winter and I look forward to taking it again this fall! Its an intentional meditation practice (both the meditation AND the weaving) but you learn a craft too! And create a beautiful object that is meaningful! While I had done various arts and crafts as a child- I was new to weaving. I was surprised how quickly the skills came with Sam’s guidance. Can’t wait to take it again! Hope to see you there.

Sam and goat yoga is amazing! Sam’s class has allowed me to become grounded in myself, connect with earth and living beings all at once. After being in a state of high anxiety constantly, this class is has been a blessing. I highly recommend this class to anyone seeking the same peace.
