Goat Yoga!

$22.00

Come and have the most fun, relaxing, healing time practicing yoga with our four Pygora goats. Pygora goats are playful, sweet and friendly fiber goats. They are like little sheep teddy bears! No, they will not come and stand on you (unless you want them too!) but they will interact with you and love pats and cuddles.

Some mats are available here however the grass is wet from dew in the morning. You may well want to bring a big towel or even two–not because you’ll get dirty but for the dew!

This outdoor practice runs Saturday in September from 9-10 a.m. An all level class, all are welcome to join. Older kids, 12 and up, are welcome, too. All spots must be reserved and paid for before class begins.

Class are held at our farm at 5 Mount Warner Road, Hadley, MA.

Research has shown the therapeutic benefits of goats and of course, as we know, of yoga. This peaceful, joyful practice is just what we need right now and I look forward to welcoming you for yoga on our little fiber farm.

Meet your teacher: Sam Wilde will be leading the class. A Kripalu trained and certified yoga teacher, she has taught yoga to hundreds of people in the Valley for decades (and practiced yoga for even more decades!). She shares the heart-opening philosophy of Kripalu in all of her classes. Over the many years she has taught folks from newborn to 107 and welcomes all levels and abilities to experience the naturally healing and beneficial effects of an hour of yoga practice.

I can’t take my eyes off this beautiful piece of art!

Sam created a wedding shower gift of dreams! She wove family history into a gorgeous useful and lush shawl for the bride, who brought it all the way to Europe and included it in her wedding celebrations. Sam was thoughtful and responsive as an artist and weaver, asking questions and offering options at each step of the process. I swear to goodness there is love woven directly into the artwork. I already have a new request for her.

I took this class last winter and I look forward to taking it again this fall! Its an intentional meditation practice (both the meditation AND the weaving) but you learn a craft too! And create a beautiful object that is meaningful! While I had done various arts and crafts as a child- I was new to weaving. I was surprised how quickly the skills came with Sam’s guidance. Can’t wait to take it again! Hope to see you there.

Sam and goat yoga is amazing! Sam’s class has allowed me to become grounded in myself, connect with earth and living beings all at once. After being in a state of high anxiety constantly, this class is has been a blessing. I highly recommend this class to anyone seeking the same peace.
