Nantucket Island is often referred to as “The Gray Lady.” I grew up on the island, where so many days the sky and sky mirrored one another in shades of gray. This tapestry began as a simple background and then the figure of the Gray lady emerged.
Nantucket Island is full of wonderful tales and stories from its whaling days; it is filled with mystery and beauty. “The Gray Lady of Nantucket” captures the ethereal beauty of the sea and the special magic of an island unlike any other.

I can’t take my eyes off this beautiful piece of art!
Sam created a wedding shower gift of dreams! She wove family history into a gorgeous useful and lush shawl for the bride, who brought it all the way to Europe and included it in her wedding celebrations. Sam was thoughtful and responsive as an artist and weaver, asking questions and offering options at each step of the process. I swear to goodness there is love woven directly into the artwork. I already have a new request for her.
I took this class last winter and I look forward to taking it again this fall! Its an intentional meditation practice (both the meditation AND the weaving) but you learn a craft too! And create a beautiful object that is meaningful! While I had done various arts and crafts as a child- I was new to weaving. I was surprised how quickly the skills came with Sam’s guidance. Can’t wait to take it again! Hope to see you there.

Sam and goat yoga is amazing! Sam’s class has allowed me to become grounded in myself, connect with earth and living beings all at once. After being in a state of high anxiety constantly, this class is has been a blessing. I highly recommend this class to anyone seeking the same peace.
